Both engines topping out at 7000 rpm

I have a 2020 FSH 210. Just completed 10 hr maintenance. Took boat out today for first time since maintenance and can only get it up to 7000 rpm on both engines. Any thoughts? Maintenance department indicated that they adjusted throttle cables during the routine maintenance, could this be the reason? Thanks

Sounds like you need to check the throttle actuators to ensure they're still going all the way to the stop.

Warm your engine and check your Oil Level. Preferably on water, but if dry make sure you run each on a hose and level the engine in both directions. If they over filled the Oil, you will lose RPM's. It should be half way between L and F or just a bit lower. Search 10 hour Service on the forums here it is talked about a lot. Our engines are very sensitive to oil level.

Also if they over filled it, there is a good chance that your air filters have oil in them which would cause a reduction in RPM's as well. Check them.

If you pass both of those review the thread there are other things that you can check.

I actually have done nothing about it. Boat is now topping around 7400 rpm, around 38 mph with 4 people. Need to look into it at some point. Thanka

So it fixed itself?

It got a bit better by itself but it does not appear to be fixed. Looks like others with same boat can get up to 8000 rpm and over 40 mph.
