My new to me boat has a wetsounds ws-420BT 'headunit' and an HTX-6 amp. The previous owner took his wake tower speakers with him, so right now I have 4 speakers (2 in front, 2 in back) plus 2 10" JL subwoofer type speakers under the back seats.
I am thinking the previous owner had 3 total amps, and removed 2 of them.
The back of the 420BT has 3 sets of RCA cables coming out the back of it and over by where the amp is. The amp has 1 set of RCAs plugged in the back of it and all 4 speakers plus the 2 10" JLs also plugged in. This means that 2 sets of RCAs coming out of the back of the 420 are not plugged into anything.
Now, all 6 speakers are plugged into the 1 amp and work, but the 10" hardly do anything at all.
So, my question:
Do I need to have 1 amp for the 4 speakers, another amp for the 10" JL sub type, and another for the wake tower speakers (once I get some)? Would this help the 10" give off more power? I have 3 +/- leads from the batteries in the area where the amp is as well.
The link here, shows a setup just like what I have mentioned above (with 3 amps): https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/wetsounds-72871.appspot.com/o/flamelink/media/1560357931787_Wet-Sounds-WS-420BT-Manual.pdf?alt=media&token=a309c4f3-c117-4b68-9cfd-55a16f3fb2c3
EDIT: It also appears that with all the adjustability knobs on the 420BT, that I need to be able to utilize all 3 RCA outputs, and while the amp has 3 sets of RCA inputs, plugging all of them in appears to do nothing.
