Still Frosty CDN asking about the SX190 "Break-in period".....havent held hands with my new girl yet as she is still sleeping at the dealership.....and of course I cant read and re-read my manual cuz I dont have and cant find it online......Can anybody help a brother of another mother ???

There is also a section on owners manuals that should cover that, all 1.8l n/a engines are the same - any 240/242 manual will do

First 30 minutes idle only after that one hour 5000 RPM 1 hour 6000rpm

EDIT: I guess @4wheeldeal bet me to it, lol. Also - vary the RPM.
 
Dealer told me our boats are put into rental service new and they haven't seen one come back yet due to break in procedure. I idled ours out onto Lake Seminole for about 5 minutes, then eased on up to 3500~ for a few. Then planed out at 6k rpm for a few laps. I still have a hard time running WOT. Just a mental thing. I like 6-6500rpm, 25-30~mph for the best ride and fuel mileage. 8000 rpm makes me cringe. One day I'll get comfortable with it.
