My SX190 with 4 pob was going 25 mph and then dropped down and would only run 15 mph. So in the cove I changed the spark plugs to see if that was the problem. I over tightened the 10 mm bolt that holds in the spark plug cover and the head snapped off. How in the world can I get that half bolt out of there?!? I’m not a strong girl, not sure how I did it to begin with. Super drunk powers I guess.

Suggest drilling down a small hole in the center of the bolt, then use an easy out to back that thing out. It shouldn’t be hard to back out once the Easy Out bites into the stud

Oh and that circle does not count. Above your waist. ?

i'd try a small left handed drill- for 10mm a 3/16 left handed drill would work good- you can get one at a hardware store. You have t run the drill in reverse and start slow and be sure the drill is centered. The nice thing about a left handed drill is the pressure is always trying to un-screw, if that makes sense. usually the broken screw will come right out but even if it didn't you would have a hole for an easy out- so the bad thing about an easy out is if it breaks off they are really hard and almost impossible to remove. Take your time- good luck. John

I went to harbor freight to buy the screw extractor kit. You were right, it worked like a charm. Home Depot helped me find a new bolt to fit. Thanks

Glad to read you resolved the problem. An alternative of the remaining bolt stud was long enough is to use a dremel or similar tool to cut a notch in the top of the stud so you could use a flat head screw driver to remove what is left of the bolt. Hopefully you were able to get a stainless steel replacement bolt.
