Interesting part is that 2.7L has been around for quite a while,, without a major issue like this. I wonder if they got a bad batch of valves?
 
Doubt a valve alone can cause it to fail. Loose or broken timing chain, valve keepers failing, valve spring, tensioner or guides fail?
There is more to it. Ford stated its covered for 5/60 so dont worry, lol

Too bad it will take 12 months to get a repair done lol hope they add warranty on the back end.

I think the law depending on the state is if the vehicle is layed up for over a certain period of time it will be extended the time it was at the dealer
