Yesterday I pulled my cleanout tray to inspect my hoses and clamps. While pulling the dozen screws I noticed the four corner bumpers were cracked and hard as rocks. I went to the local West Marine positive they would carry replacement bumpers but nothing in their inventory or catalog. I then went across the street to a marine parts store but no luck there either.
I figured my last resort would be to buy OEM and pay $15 for official Yamaha bumpers and to add insult to injury they would charge another $5.95 for shipping. On the way home I saw a True Value Hardware store. I figured, why not? Here is what I found. They look almost identical to the OEM and were under $4 with tax for a pack of four. My bumpers are bumping again. I may have to readjust the kill switches as the new bumpers are a little higher than the old squashed and cracked ones.
