As the title states, I am going to look at a '13 242 limited S this weekend and am wondering of any specific pain points or issues known on this model.
Engines have 160 hours. I know timing chains were an issue for a couple of years but he brought that up and said that the 2013's weren't affected
Was used mostly in salt water but trailered to/from and said it was flushed with Saltaway for 5-10 minutes after every use.
I know there is a fair bit of sun damage to the tops of the seats in the rear, which looks to be a fairly common issue on these boats. anybody have a good source to purchase replacement seat cushions on a 2013?
has the cobra jet fins
seems to still have the OEM Clarion head unit/stern controls, any known issues with these?

Thanks in advance

2013 has the older timing chains. The odds are low but it could happen. I literally just found out about this and went to the dealer today. I might be trading my 2012 242LS for a 2020 SE or X.

Let me know what they say on trade in! this one is a 1200 mile drive and philly seems much closer if you wanted to sell it outright!

Honestly the dealer was drooling over my boat. It's fresh water. Roughly 100 hours. Beautifully done with seadek, underwater transom lights, speaker lights on a dimmer, and led cup holders. I also had a custom made switch panel for all the lights I added. Perfect interior. No scratches in the hull (maybe a small super light one here or there).

But for me they offered a good trade in price and it's just easier to trade it in especially since there is a small balance on what I owe. Dealer will flip this boat extremely fast and he knows it.
