Boating Season is over. . . . Gaming Season has just begun. . . For any COD Fans out there that want to link up online use the following as an example to post in the comments below:

System: XBOX 360
Gamertag: XGC Devildog

I am pretty picky about adding friends online, so be sure to put a reference to jb.net along with your jb.net username in any request you send.

*****For non-gamer fans. . . if you don't have something nice to say STFU. = )*****

Mine is easy....my user name is the same as my board name..... I guess I need to go out and buy the game now!!

XBOX360

The only bad thing I hate about playing online is the freaking competitive ( psycho ) nature of some of the people. I had one guy actually get mad enough to ask my address so he could come show me his displeasure. I had another tell me he was an actually cop and he would shoot me for real. " Shrug"

Yeah, the internet tough guys crack me up. . . . . so ridiculous. I got into the series as a way to stay in touch with the other Marines from various units of mine scattered all over the globe. I gamed with guys from my old unit while they were deployed to A-Stan. Thats the good thing about being in Comms. . .

I've played occasionally on my PS3 (don't have Advanced Warfare). Can you play across systems online?

And yes.... @jcyamaharider some folks out there do get a little wound up. I used to play Capture the Flag in Battlefield and there was a way (an exploit) to jump out of an airplane and back into it right at the flag (while doing a loop d' loop)....which I always thought of as a lame way to grab the flag. When ever someone would get in the habit of doing this, I would simply counter with laying explosives by the flag and nuking them every time they tried it. One guy got similarly pissed off with me for nuking him every time.....which of course turned into him trying to find me and kill me, then get into his plane etc.....I was laughing....but he was full of expletives! Oh well....

Gunnar, my son, is very excited about this coming out, but he has a PS3, so it won't be released for that gaming system for another month or so (I think). I'm not sure you can play across gaming systems. My guess is, NO. He can play for free online with his PS3, but has to pay on his Xbox.

My son is pumped about it !!! We pre ordered it so he get some of the free stuff !!

Funny thing, I didn't pre-order anything. . . . and the wife was able to pick up a "Day Zero" copy for me at Gamestop while running errands today.

However, when I loaded the content disc and then accepted the xbox live update it corrupted my hard drive. . . . I was able to do a hard reset and correct but I am not sure if it will hold. It seems to be working at the moment.

XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE.... Yamahasx210 it's easy to remember. XBOX360 I really only play GTA 5, XBOX ONE, I play forza 5 and madden 15. I've never really played first person shooter game but I actually might get that one. I have heard its really cool

What was your MOS? Former 2531 here

Used to cod on ps3 but life's responsibilities caught up fast. It was nice because my buddy and i found a group all the same age so we would like talk 90's stuff during the game and usually the rest of the team would mute us, lol
But lots of fun! Too many bugs with those games on he ps though

I'm a gamer from 70's/80's playing everything from pong to duck hunt, and even Dragon's Lair on laserdisc (not DVD for those too young to remember LP sized discs although you may not know what an LP is either). Moved from all the atari and PS and we currently have PS1, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox360 in the house.

My 17 year old son plays all the COD games on xbox and I play BF on PS3. He is way better than I am now as I don't play much. Jerks, hacks, and cheats online is one reason I don't play as much.

Give me some old Ghost Recon 2 on Xbox. Man our clan owned early Xbox live. We would love launch day because Recon would get advertised and all the Halo kids would come running.

Lol. Recon wasn't a run and hop and shoot and no scope game. It was a patient, wait out the imaptient, snipe fest. Gawd I loved it.
