Cavitation Solved!

Update: I managed to pull the additional line that was shoved up past the shaft. That appears to be it. What a pain in the ass that was!

I’ve never done it, but there are posts about it showing it only takes about half hour. Also some videos on YouTube Looks easy enough

@Sotally Tober - The concept of pulling the pump initially had me concerned, but its not that big of a task. Here is a video that was shared on another tread, and its pretty spot on. Helped me when I had some monofilament around my shaft. Probably will take you 30 mins the first go around. (Check it of for future reference).

Glad to see you were able to get all the line/net out!

Is that a tough job? Keep in mind the extent of my mechanical knowledge is changing oil and spark plugs....
Dude, seriously? As easy as pulling out your stripping pole…?

Need a new sign for your boat:

No Fishnet Stockings on Pole

That is actually way too easy. In hind site, I should have just listen to @feziwig and just pulled it.

I would still recommend pulling the pump - there may be more shoved up there beyond the seal that could cause damage (unless you're 110% sure you managed to pull it all out. I'd still be paranoid about it though).

Very valid point, the time I had monofiliment around my shaft, I was unaware that some of it worked its way into the plastic housing/seal area and I didn’t notice it till I pulled the pump.
