I know it"s been done. I went the cheaper and easier route and just did seadek.

Item 32 in the parts diagram. 2016 Yamaha AR192 (RM1800AR) Seat Cushion | Babbitts Yamaha Partshouse
Cushion is $330.00. Then you'd have to fabricate some way to fasten it. Likely the cushion has studs in it to attach the same way as the other backrests do. I'd like to do the same someday. But that's a tight space to try to fit into.

I contacted Babbitts asking how the seat part fastened on but the person I was talking to didn’t seem to know or have a way to find out(???)

I just did it for looks because I thought it looked kind of cheap to have a big bare spot there. I know they make the thicker padded seadek. It obviously wouldn't be as comfortable as a cushion, but could be an easier compromise.

if I can really get the template made to mimic the cushion shape, it may be a decent plan.
