Chaparral issues

Hi , i have a chaparral 223 VRX and the message port side / starboard side maintenance required which i think its
telling me its hit a certain amount of hours ,apart from getting someone with Brp diagnostics , someone has
said disconnect the battery and then connect again ? anybody experienced this ?
