I was asked about some details about an air fuel separator that I put on my 2-stroke Xr1800 to aid in not letting the motors suck air and go lean. Here is what I did:

I bought an oil catch can off of ebay 16 bucks

I bought an electric fuel pump from an auto parts store. I think I paid 40 but here is one for 35 bucks.

Then I just took the fuel line from the gas tank ( both lines ) and tee'd them together in to the inlet for the fuel pump, filter side. Outlet of the fuel pump to the top port on the side of the catch can. The I went from the bottom of the can out to each motor fuel filter. Then I took the over flows from each motors tee'd them together and ran them to the top of the catch can.

Actually not a hard process just time consuming, just make sure all connections are fuel tight. I did mine and it didn't leak in 3 years.

Any other questions feel free to ask. The attached picture is busy with fuel line but I cleaned it up later.

is there a chance you might send me a few good pictures of the cleaned up version? I’d really like to go this route.
