Check Engine Light Flashing

Just bought the boat from a individual and had no issues on my test drive. My starboard check engine light is flashing a pattern of 1 flash then pause then 9 flashes then pause and it starts over again. No loss of power, seen water coming from the side holes. I can use no wake mode. No other lights were flashing. Any idea what it might be or what to check before taking it to a dealer?
