There are two lights, one is check engine light ( a little engine ) and a code will be displayed and the other is a maintenance reminder light ( a little wrench ) . Both have to be reset by dealer or the correct software ( CANDOPRO ) etc.. With a bad O2 sensor the engine will run, but not fine. O2 sensors are for correct fuel adjustments and to check cat. for proper performance. A code will be displayed in the cluster to tell you what the problem is. Run the engine with the check engine light on is not recommended because of engine damage or failure can occur.
