Hi!
New jet boater here. We just bought a 2014 Yamaha AR192 after owning a stern drive for five years. I’m looking for something of a checklist to go over when you suspect you’ve run over something and it got sucked up. Also, sorry for the newbie question, can you open the clean out plug while on the water? Doesn’t the water come in?
Im guessing the order of operation is something like
1) Turn off boat and see if it clears naturally
2) Do the reverse maneuver
3) Open the clean out plug and see if something is stuck (again, can I do this on the water?)
4) Trailer it and investigate on dry land
Of course this all depends on what might have been sucked up (ie ski rope vs trash bag)
Thanks so much!
