Are there any Cisco authorized members on the forum?

I am in a bind and need some help from someone who has permission to download an old software version.

I might be able to help. What do you need?

I originally thought that I needed a management program to access an old 526 wireless controller. Maybe I still do to backdoor into the gui? It appears that it has a GUI that I can't access because the IP address is unknown and it doesn't show on my network. The reset function is not working so I can't set it back to factory defaults.

So, at this point im thinking its toast, just like the one that I'm trying to replace! Damn eBay junk!

Once upon a time I was a big fan of Cisco gear. Now I highly recommend the Ubiquiti UniFi gear for wireless networks.

I have been using Ubiquiti radios since 2012 including 14 miles of wireless links to bring Internet to my home office without any problems.

I just dumped the old Cisco network and installed 6 of the X-Claim Xi-3's yesterday. Faster and better coverage than the antiquated Cisco gear.

I'm am trying to get this 526 controller back to life so I can sell the entire set on eBay.

Possibly try cranky IP scanner. Seems to always find mystery IPs for me. You do have to know the rough ranges to search. Cam.

I finally determined the controller was fried. I replaced the entire system with 5 Xclaim Xi-3's. Gotta love Ruckus!

Wow! 14 miles? How many antennas did it take to get 14 miles?

I almost went with Ubiquity gear but used the lower cost lower end Ruckus just to get it done cheaply as the house is for sale.

There are three pairs of radios in the 14 miles of links. I operate the last pair from my tower to my home. The other two are operated by my ISP. The distance could be handled by one link but line of sight issues make the additional links necessary. The longest of the three links is a little over 8 miles.
