Has anybody found a good way to clean the factory swim deck mats? To me they seem to hold dirt and will not come clean. I am giving serious consideration to tearing it up and putting down Marine Mat. Has anyone done this? How hard was it to get the factory mat off?

The factory mats are made by Marine Mat. While dirt gets trapped by the small groves, it doesn't generally hold or stick there.

Clean with warm water adding a shot of dish soap, and a soft to medium bristle brush. For stubborn stains, white vinegar, brush it in, let it sit 5 mins, rinse. Repeat if necessary.

The 212's have different mats than the AR's. The mats you have are the ones I am thinking of upgrading to.

Oh I didn't realize they were different...looking at pics I can see now the pattern is different and the edges are finished differently.

Try doing a search - I recall someone removed their stock mats to put in Seadek and they posted pics of the project. That might help?

My swim deck factory mats sucked. They stained and I couldn't clean them. Worst crap ever. I put Sea Dek down last year and have never looked back.

Same. Just ordered a swim deck kit. Tired of them always looking dingy.

Just got rust stains out of my gray hydro turf that have been there for years.... Simple Green and a little elbow grease
