So I was cleaning the boat the other day and left a microfiber towel on the seat and forgot about it. Long story short it rained and now I have this awesome purple stain on the seats. Any tips on getting this out? Tried a magic eraser with light to heavy pressure just to attempt to lift stain.

We've had similar stains and used a 303 product, soaked the area and let sit for about 10 mins and then rewet with the product and used a magic eraser lightly and the stain was 95% removed and days later unnoticeable. Starbrite also makes a vinyl cleaner that we've used to remove fish blood.

I LOVE 303. I use their Protectant by a gallon.
That said, sun exposure may be your best bet here, believe it or not! It will "sun bleach" color stain and it may disappear completely (not a joke!).
I would be careful with spray bleach as it will weaken the stitching and may cause permanent damage.

Bleach is not your friend when it comes to marine upholstery, say it , learn it, live it! :winkingthumbsup"

I'll second what @swatski said about the sun bleaching it out. We had a nice big blue stain on our new white seats after a day out with a kid that had a new swim suit. Tried multiple vinyl cleaners with minimal results. A two day weekend out on the lake in full sun and it is 100% gone.

#3 on sun, give it a try, I’ve also seen it work wonders on some stains!

Magic eraser will take the protective coating off vinyl dont use them.

Thank you guys, a trip to the lake is in order once this rain stops

OMG I did the same thing.... You are braver than me to post it but since the cat is out the bag I'll jump in..

My boat was a mess this season and while camping with the boat I had time to do some cleaning. Had a new can of Mary Kate and several black micro fiber clothes. Went to town cleaning and the hand towels were pretty wet from the cleaner. I set the wet black microfiber towels on my white cushions and went in to the camper for lunch and when I came back out and moved the towels you could here my scream "NOOOOOOOOOOO" thru out the campground . Looked like a purple stain on the seats and purple streaks on other spots of the cushions.

Grabbed some more cleaner and some white cotton towels and went to town like an obsessed OCD germ-a-phob :D. Got most of it out of the cushions but where the towels had set there still had a purple tint and spot that wasn't coming out. Had a beer and took a deep breath and after a few days in the sun it came out mostly. If I stare at that spot I can still see the enemy of purple but no one else can.

Hope you got yours to come out.

Cleaning boat vinyl is not an easy task. Sometime, many types of stains appear in seats. Some stains are removed with cleaners. But some are hard to remove. If you own a boat with Pinking on it, then you also know you can’t scrub the stains off. It's hard to remove. And once it occurs only replace the seats with new ones is options.

Before you use abrasive cleaners and such, just see what the sun will do. We had permanent marker on the seat and it is now gone. 100%, couple few days.

Yes. Do not use anything harsh or any abrasive. Let it sit in the sun. If you leave your boat uncovered for a few days you will be blinded by the white.

You can try 303. It is ability to remove stains quickly while revitalizing discolored and old surfaces as it brings back its freshness and glossiness.
