I have a 2013 AR192. Was thinking about putting cobra fins on. Are they worth putting on and using?

If you are new to boating or have come over to jets from prior Prop-boat ownership, I would say yes.

There are some other threads with a healthy debate on this subject.

I have the Thrust Vector XV and it make a ton of difference, my wife navigate with more confidence now.

I put Cobra Fins on my previous 2006 SX230, made a big difference, my current 2008 SX230 HO has no fins, it wanders all over the place. I have sitting on my table my new set of Cobra Jet Steering Venom Ultimate's, plan is to install them this morning.

Just finished installing the fins, piece of cake install, was much easier than the 1st generation fins where you had to drill holes and the fins are noticeably longer/deeper than the 1st generation, cannot wait to try them out.

Here is a YouTube Video that Jeff put together for the installation:

Yes that is exactly what they are for, I am actually running very low on them again but I still have a few in stock and more ordered for those and for the magnum AK series steering

PM me a price, last name is Pilgrim so you know who I am from my recent order.

The fangs for your system run 85 dollars for the regular setup or 150 for the deluxe setup, the difference is 2 fangs , one placed on the outside of each of the nozzle verses 4 fangs placing 2 fangs per nozzle similar to a single engine.
You may want some feedback from people who have used both systems to determine what is best for you.
I originally designed it for the 2 fang system but many have opted to go with the 4 setup .
I have not yet heard from someone who tried the 2 first and then went with the 4 to get a first hand comparison.
I believe that in the power steering area I don't think it would make a big difference however in the enhanced revers control I can see where it could be benificial.

Let me test out the current configuration and I will decide if I need to go with the Fangs, I was pretty damn good with our 2006 SX230 with the original fins.

That works too ! After all it's an upgrade so you can always add it later .

Yes....you should do the whole package with the Fangs.

Put them on my 2014 SX192. Night and day difference.

Read the paper instructions and also used the YouTube instructions to figure it out. 30 mins.

If I knew what I was doing and didn't have to figure out the instructions, it would be less than 10.

Big waste of money. Especially on a single engine. My 230 came with them installed. After one day out, off they came. No difference. And all those who drive my boat (my kids/nephews/wives/brothers) have no need for them. Just take the time to learn how to handle the boat. A little practice and you too can be a pro. Just remember the key concept to a jet - no thrust? No steering.
