I have a 2015 with only 20 hours on it and I've noticed the last couple of times I've tried to start the boat after sitting for a few days it can take 3 times or so before the boat will fire. Once it does though, it runs just flawlessly. Anyone else experience this?

Whens the last time you changed plugs?

@njmr2fan it only has 20 hours so I have not, but I guess that should be my first step. Just need to find what plugs and gap.. I'm sure I can search quickly!

NKG #6668 LFR6A, its the first thing id check.

I agree with @njmr2fan about changing the spark plugs. Other things to consider would be battery voltage (do you leave the battery on a charger when stored), possibly old fuel?

Anyway, a spark plug change is cheap and easy. Let us know how it goes.

Mine is a 15' and does that every now and then. I'll be getting it off the trailer and itll studder on start up. It will want to fire and then shut off. Try to start it, and itll fire right up and I wont have an issue for the rest of the day. And it wont do it every time I get it off the trailer. Feels to me like a dragging fuel pump. It hasnt left me stranded or bothered me enough to test for fuel pressure at the house. I honestly forget about it until time to get it off the trailer. And it fires right back up, so I havent worried about it.

If you fogged the motor to winterize. . . . . you should change the plugs after running her on the old set for the first time the next season. The old plugs get fouled easily by fogging solution if it was done right.

never fogged mine.

I certainly agree with changing the spark plugs first. Amazing the issues just doing that fixes. Changing my plugs recently fix my temperature light from coming on for no reason.

My next thought would be the fuel pump is not staying primed. Just a thought.
