On the way home from the Charleston run we stopped at a truck stop to get fuel. I took advantage of the cat certified scales and weighed my entire rig...

A 2005 durango 4 wheel drive. (Yes with the hemi) full of fuel, a new aluminum trailer and a 2008 yamaha sx 230 with a half tank of fuel..

10800 pounds...

If I were not so lazy I should have unhooked my boat and weighed juat the boat and trailer alone... but that would have required more effort... and I was all out!

I am at 10,580 with no gear or passengers in the truck. Expedition is 5860 and 212X on the trailer is 4720.

Just unhook and weigh the truck alone...
Then subtract from the gross weight.

Most scales have multiple plates that separate weight:
1. Tractor steer axle weight
2. Tractor drive axle weight
3. Trailer axles weight.

You should have been able to weigh your Durango and trailer separately, without unhooking the trailer and gotten a decent ballpark weight for each.

Did I over think this?
In my years of commercial driving, I've only ever had to scale out a handful of times.

And I can officially consider myself tired - I had to edit my own post a couple times for spelling issues.

I drove commercially as well but the plates are not nearly spread apart enough... and I had to use my truck to stand on the door jam to get high enough to reach the call button...
