I was at the Police Memorial in Meriden yesterday and spoke to an officer from Middletown that was out Wednesday on the river with the coast guard. He said there was still trees and logs floating down the river. I still haven't been able to wax or prep mine. Every time I get a moment it rains or I have to mow the lawn.
I was just casting on the river in Agawam Ma. nothing large floating by. If we dont get any major rain here or north you guys should be good to go. I might even unwrap mine and try to get out Monday
I spoke to a DEEP buddy of mine he said it's all good. River is low and no debris. I am going out tomorrow I will report what I see. FYI He told me about a great campsite. It's up Selden Creek off the river it's all no wake but scenic. The state runs a campsite you can tie up your boat and it has out house facilities and fire pits. $5 per night but never busy enough to need a reservation. I did check out the state website it seems pretty cool I'm going to try it this summer with the kids
