I have been running my Hobie Jet (Mercury Sport Jet 90) a good bit in the Santa Rosa Sound and each time I put the boat up I flush with the dealer adapter and run the engine.
Connecting ans disconnecting the cooling hose from the pump each time is getting to be a PITA.
I have decided that I am going to install a valve(s) to allow for having the flush left in place and be able to flush and is necessary cutoff the water from the jet if the hose were to leak.
I am planning a valve with a built in drain as used to drain vacation homes for the flush.

The capped valve would be the flush inlet and the larger valve is inline with the pump to the cooling for the motor.
I have a setup with a quick connect to go to the flush from the hose.
Any thoughts?
