Has anyone experienced Cruise control Error? I got an error message while pulling a wakeboarder and the engine began hesitating. This only happens when in cruise control mode.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Not had an error like this before. I assume you are using the GPS/connext screen launch and speed control? From my recent experience with a bad voltage issue on the connext screen, I would start with the plug into the SPU in the rear of the starboard underseat storage. Unplug the big plug into the SPU...the one on closest to the outside of the boat, and make sure it is dry and clean. Add some dialectric grease and re-plug.

If that doesnt solve the problem, it might be that one of the wires is unseated....not sure which it would be....but all the wires are labeled on the wire itself, and I'd look for a GPS wire and jamb that into the plug and test again.

Thanks Julian. I will give that a try.

Unfortunately, this is pretty well known issue. There are many threads on this. Here is one:

Thx for sharing. Unfortunately that thread ended without a conclusion. I have a strong feeling it's a connection ir water issue. I do remember some water got into the seat before I started having the error. I didn't think much of it (bc it's a boat that should handle little Fred water). Also the way the seat lifts results in any drop of water on the seat to go inside immeditatly.

@Khalid And while you on it, you may want to address another issue that affects all new Connext boats, a battery voltage reading error.

While not critical for normal operation, will make you go crazy when trying to diagnose any potential electric issues down the road. It is a fairly simple fix, turns out.

Why would Yamaha not correct this in new boats coming out of the factory is not clear to me. When I discussed this with my dealer last year, they denied any knowledge of the issue. Which prompted me to fix it myself. I initially just wanted to install independent volt meters, but with help from this forum could actually fix it at the source.

Oh boy! I don't get it! It'll be a lot more profitable for Yamaha to address the issues instead of losing potential customers and having repeated and costly warranty service hours!

I love the E series, but having these annoying glitches is a major turn off!

I agree @Khalid you should dump this issue boat as quick as possible luckily for you I will go ahead and buy it from you for the same price you paid for it just let me know ;)

I believe the issue has been correct. Have you contacted your dealer?
