The new Yamaha AR195 has a dash mounted phone holder... has anyone done anything similar aftermarket to their dash?
If so, what did you use? How did you pull it off and do you like the end result?
Have you any other custom dash add-ons that worked out?
I’d love to be able to have a permanent mount like this and not have to rely on a suction cup.
A pic of the new dash is below

Here is mine. The suction cup kept falling off so I just screwed the ram mount directly to the dash. Works great now.

I just got the ram mount with suction cup attachment. I haven't used it under way yet, but my impression on the suction cup is that it is rock solid. I have it suctioned to the side if the helm left off the steering wheel and I feel like I could rip the dash off before it would release...

I have the suction cup mount, and use it in a semi tractor. Wet the suction cup before pressing it on and flipping the lever. It also helps to make sure that you clean the window you're mounting to, even if you think it is clean already.

Thanks!
I found this low profile system that might work too. A Quad Lock Mount and adaptor. The mount apparently can be screwed in or attached with adhesive.
If I go this way I’d put it on the warning sticker beside the cruise assist button.
