Potential stupid question. What makes the display change from night to day? On the way back from the fireworks last night, I had changed the night brightness down all the way to 5%, but when I went back to the map screen, it seemed to go back to day settings. I didn’t think to change the day settings down in the moment as I was juggling the normal boating responsibilities. The screen was so bright I had to cover it to not completely distort my vision.

On my boat it’s the activation of the navigation lights…

I for sure had the nav lights on. I wonder if it gets brighter for map only. That’s the only screen I wanted to see other than the one that changes the brightness. I’ll have to mess around with it to see if I can come to any conclusions.
