Deluxe mooring cover fit doesn't seem right.

I'm posting a couple of pictures of my boat with the Yamaha branded deluxe mooring cover on. The pictures show the area of the cooling system outlets and how the cover is right on top of the outlets is such a way that the outlets push the cover away from the boatThis doesn't seem right and I think it may cause premature wear or even damage to the cover or the outlets. Has anybody else noticed anything similiar?

mine fits almost exactly the same, I keep trying to pull it down so the mud daubers won't nest in the holes,
10 years and I haven't noticed any issues to the cover or the boat,

Not really, unfortunately. Unless someone else has come up with a solution.
