With the world getting more unpredictable by the day, decided to develop a spring head. After a lot of digging and about $600 in material I have 1 gal/min flowing constantly.

Working on a Rife Ram pump next to get it up the hill to storage tanks.

I believe Clemson University publishes plans for a DIY ram pump. This is the first I've heard of Rife. I will check it out. I have an area of grass up above the irrigation ditch that I'd like to water.

I like the gravel to catch the water.

How did you spend $600 on a plastic barrel, some PVC pipe and visqueen. Is there an expensive component that I am not seeing?
