So, I didn't really get a chance to fully integrate myself into this other web based community for jet boat enthusiasts since I only joined it a few weeks ago. But a need to kill time before the snow and ice finally melts and I can put my new AR192 into service led me to google and a well placed ad for this site. So, here's to being the new guy, again!

Welcome, glad to see you found us! You'll find this to be an awesome group of people with a wealth of knowledge on these boats! On top of all the great minds, we also have a state of the art forum package to help us share our stuff!

I used to live in Gurnee IL and boat in your area! We have lots of members up there!

Welcome to the club RiverRat! I'm glad Google was able to help point the way to this fantastic new forum.

There is nothing as long as the 1st winter you own a new boat!

@Volffas Agreed, I felt this same way when I bought my Bayliner about the same time of year in 2006.

Welcome RiverRat! Although I have never lived in Gurnee IL, I was once on a Gurney, but that was in Arizona.....

In any case, it's GREAT to have you here! =)

We bought our first boat in January of 2008. She was in really bad shape but we got her for chump change and I figured fixing up a boat would be a bunch of fun. The only problem was that by the time it was warm enough to work on the boat all I wanted to do was take the boat out! So our first couple of trips out she was less than well equipped, but eventually I was able to spend some time working on her and she turned out to be a great boat.

Did you at least get to take your new boat out for a test drive before you bought it?

Gurnee, IL huh? That sounds familiar. Didn't cousin Eddie's gas run out there? One of these days I'm gonna get me a tenement on wheels. :)

Welcome aboard!

@Volffas No test drive. No open water. Did plenty of research so I'm sure I'll love it. Same thing with the Bayliner.

Welcome to the new clubhouse. Glad you found us.
