Difference between older sx230 (2003) and 2008 model

The hull is different, in 07 they used a higher freeboard and changed the rear storage areas and added a bigger closet,
the engines are MR1's but could be either high output (HO) or non-HO,

What exactly is different about the hull from the older year model to newer? Better I assume?
Sorry for the questions. I'm a newb trying to decide if I want to juco into Yamaha boat ownership.

tower or no tower
HO or non-HO engine
07 and newer have higher freeboard slightly different layout,
you can google different years and models SR, SX, AR, LTD and 210 are really just as big interior wise so look at 212X also
