Difference in towers/mooring covers.

Hey everyone. I am new to the forum and new to yamaha boats. I just recently purchased a used 2013 AR240 and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

I currently have a mooring cover that is not correct for the boat. The boat is an SXT1800 AR240. The cover is a MAR-242TR-BK-15.

I am looking for a new cover that fits better because apparently the tower setup was different on those boats. However, I see multiple different numbers and not sure which is right for me. Could you help me out with the following covers and tell me which one would work? I also cant find what the numbers/letters indicate.

1. MAR-240TR-BK-15
2. MAR-240BK-TW-14

There is also one on FB marketplace at a good price MAR-242BK-TW-14.

LeadersRPM is where I bought a cover before.

MAR-240BK-TW-14 this is the one you need for your year of boat.

MAR-240TR-BK-15 this one is for a 2015

The 242BK-TW-14 is for a 242 limited S, so no that will not fit yours.

The MAR-242TR-BK-15 that I currently have, fits, but it has provisions for a different style tower. the 240 and 242 boats are the same size, with the 242 having more options. I have seen a 242 in my area that has the same tower as mine, thats why I was wondering what the "TW" vs "BK" vs "TR" denotes.

So the correct cover for the boat is MAR-240BK-TW-14.

The FB marketplace for the 242 is MAR-242BK-TW-14.

Looks like the same-ish to me, as long as the towers are the same, I can deal with cleat location being different. Especially with it only being $450 brand new in box

The 240 of that vintage had a rear facing tower. The 242's of that vintage had a forward facing tower. So they are not the same. You want the one suggested above.
