Do 192s spin higher RPMs or do they have a more aggressively pitched impeller?

I am curious how Yamaha chose to get more speed out of the supercharged engines?

Same Rev limit as the 190's. Impeller must be pitched higher. Looks like there are many 192's that can't manage better speed than the 190's though.

Very good question. I eould have asdumed that the 192 pulled more RPM's, but that is strickly an uneducated assumption. I know my 192 will do 50 wide open at close to7500 rpms (i think).

GPS or Yamaha dream o meter?

GPS pics or it didn't happen.

According to the user manual for 2016 model, 192 has higher pitch, 15.8 versus 14.0 on 190.

Close, but not exactly.

190s are pitched 13.5/15.9 (leading and trailing edge) (6CW-01)
192s are 14.1/19.3 (6ER-01)

Both are 155mm diameter.

Is it different for 2016, see attached:

Impellers are is not different for the 2016, to the best of my knowledge. Some other parts of the drive train are, such as the couplers. Yamaha has been making changes to their new larger pump (including impellers) in 2016 SVHO 1.8l SC skis, but that has not transitioned to the boats yet and is specific to SVHO.
Don't know what is the source you quote, but these impellers have progressive pitch, such that the angle changes between the leading and the trailing edge. That's why you will always see two numbers describing the pitch. Greenhulk's Jerry Gaddis posted an impeller pitch table which I linked to at some point. Can't find it know, but it is a very useful resource since Yamaha does not publish these data, nor other technical data such as engine power, torque curves.
Even in the service manual - what they publish is not useful (from my AR/SX190 service manual):

My source: 2016 Yamaha SX190/SX192/AR190/AR192 Owners Manual :) It's one book for all four models. But still, they don't show the Engine HP in the specs, it's a big secret for Yamaha ;)

There is a stamp on the emissions plate attached to the hull next to the exhaust header that says max power is 154 kW - about 206 HP. At least for the 2016 ar192.

Somebody really needs to dyno the 192 for me. I really want to see what the torque curve is.

2016 SX 190 with 3/4 tank of gas and just me (and no carperting - LOL in case that matters....)

Yamaha "Dream O Meter" 45.5 - I like that name!

GPS SOG - 42.6

Honestly, I'm pretty happy with these numbers. ALSO, i get almost 8 GPH at 6000 RPM going 30 MPH GPS

@Eric Ballard Not to derail the thread, but what chart plotter are you using? I like the display!

I located the Emission Sticker on my 2016 AR190. It says 122kW which is 163HP. That's much less than 180HP that everybody is talking about :/ But still I'm able to hit 40 MPH without any problems ;)
