Installing a monster JL system, was throwing the idea around of putting this Decal on the side (this is photoshopped right now)

Yay or Nay?

Maybe go smaller on the decal. Unless JL Audio is paying you for the advertising.

Why advertise what's inside? It'll just make people curious and maybe want to take home for themselves (without your permission of course).

They’ll hear what’s inside way before they see this ?

If its loud enough you don't need to advertise. But i do like it.

It's a nice size and placement if you really want to put it on your boat, but that's a hard no from me personally.

Other thing to consider is if you go to sell it in a few years and you have that pattern permanently faded into your gelcoat. Next buyer may not be a fan.

That would look good if JL made boats.

I'd put that on my boat if JL gave me all matching speakers and amps to replace all mine!

They gave me a ton of stuff. I just had to give them a ton of money for it.

I think it looks pretty sweet :winkingthumbsup"

I think it’s purely a question of taste. While the decal is cool, I think the boat colors are beautiful and the decal takes away from them.

Unless you own an audio shop I’d say it only takes away from the good looks of the boat.
As others have said, it also makes you a target for unscrupulous characters to investigate your boat...

If JL isn't paying you, or you don't own a shop... I'd reconsider. But hey, it's your ride.

Well back in the day. If i put a high performance piece on my car I would put the sticker that came in box on my window so I like it. I would want to see the company name same angle as the 240 is on the boat before I can say I like it angled like that unless that is how the company usually displays its logo.

Looks decent, but to tell you the truth it makes it look like a custom promotional boat for JL Audio. If I see that on the water I'm going to assume it's a sales guy getting paid to cruise around advertising.

Not something I'd do to my boat unless I had some professional affiliation with them.

I agree that it doesn't take away the boat, but unless they are giving me something free I'm not putting it on mine

My vote is no free advertising. Not on homes, cars, motorcycles, jet skis and boats. No!

I say no, and take off all the factory decals instead.
