Dog ladder

After having the dog out for the first time 2 weeks ago he wanted to be able to climb back in the boat after swimming a bit. Since our 07 SX230 is lower to the water in the rear thank our old boat he thinks he can get him self up but he isn't able to. Does anyone use a dog ladder or ramp on their Yamaha like the Paws Aboard or something similar?

We have and tried the "Load A Pup". Chester never got the hang of using it to climb into the boat, but he would sit on it. Boxers however, are not noted as good swimmers. So he did more floating and clinging to us than swimming. Now at the beach, we anchored stern to the beach and shallow enough that he could jump back up without the ladder. My ladder is available pretty cheap too if your interested. It was used only a few times one season until we gave up.

I used a Paws Aboard for several years. The dogs figured it out really fast and it was great for them. But it uses the whole "people" ladder and gets in the way of people getting on and off. AND ya gotta keep watching the kids because they want to use it.

@maboat were do you store the Paws Aboard on the boat? Will it fit in the ski locker?
