I’m considering taking my moms dog on my boat. Wondering if dogs toe nails will causes damage to the seats7A2EE2F2-C714-4BCD-89AF-1BD3DF119D25.jpeg not sure what kind of dog this is.

not sure what kind of dog this is.

The kind of dog that's going to pee on in your cockpit area,

seriously our 80lb beast hasn't caused any damage to our seats after a season of boating, he does get daily walks on concrete so his nails are pretty smooth,

We take our Boxers out all the time. Took them out on Wednesday. Toe nails are always out and no effect on cushions. I'm more worried about the dirt from their paws and the dog hair. You'll be fine.

Same here. 65 lb golden retriever. No issues with cushions. So far only one little scratch on the sea deck.

We rarely go out without our Bichon and Lhasa

Hundredish pound golden here. Seats are fine, there are some nail impressions in the swim deck sea dek from when he was a little apprehensive about jumping off. No other sign of a dog on the boat.

Same here! 70lb. GSP. Seats are fine...small cuts on the swim platform.
You shouldn't have a problem. With that little one. Don't forget the doggie life jacket!

25 pounder here... he is all over the seats, no nail damage.

WARNING: Boat rides may cause drowsiness.

Winston my Goldendoodle loves the boat. His nails have never been a problem and he can be a bit wild still. Running to and fro all over the boat.

50lb Lab/Boxer/Mutt mix here.......Great dog, loves the water and protects the boys like the precious cargo they are. She does great on the boat, no issues with anything other than hair. Sheds a TON, but dries quick. She's like a barking micro-fiber rag really.

Once we're in the water she doesn't know how to just "float along" so we have to hold her like a toddler. She'll sit like this for as long we we'll let her though. No whining, barking, or squirming, just sitting up floating along with us.

Anybody has experience with a 150lbs Great Dane? Still debating about brining ours.
