Well I can finally believe for myself that I belong here. After 2 years of lurking on this site and the other one and recently being more serious about looking for a boat, I finally let go of my money and purchased a 2007 AR230. Whoo Hoo!

She was playing tag-a-long with me last night on the trip home. Unfortunately, my oldest daughter is going camping with the friends this weekend and did not want the rest of us to go out without her. It being our first time out and all. So, I may get on the mods sooner rather than later. Already received the EZ-Locks from Jeff so that's the first. Thanks @Cobra Jet Steering LLC I know I am at the right place for the mods :-)

I do want to thank everyone on here for all their valuable input. I would not have purchased a Yamaha jet boat if I did not find the other site and then this one. I do want to especially thank @Julian and @txav8r for their support and recommendations in my search for a boat. Their knowledge has been invaluable in my search.

I will post more pics later this weekend after I detail her. Thanks everyone and I look forward to a great summer of boating.

I think I finally belong!

Playing tag-a-long :-)

glad to have you on board! have you owned / operated a boat before? it may be a good idea to go out with less people the first time so you can get some driving experience and not the pressure of having other people on board,

Yep, was planning on going out tonight if the weather holds up and I can get off work early enough. I want to tool around a bit at low speed.

Thanks.

Welcome to the cult 96 pirate. Your are a better father than I, I love my son but would go on the maiden voyage without him without a second thought.

Congrats!!! Nice looking !!!!!

Congrats! You will love her! Have you spent any time out on these boats before? Going out to maneuver a bit is a great idea in any case, but especially if you haven't spent a lot of time on jets. I found an article on the old board very helpful early on - @Julian we have that on here somewhere but I have to get on a work call (dammit) so can't look now.

I'll check again later...

Congrats!

Congratulations!!! Boat looks great!

:Welcome:

Well you certainly picked a nice quiet weekend for it !

How exciting to have the boat in your driveway.

Welcome to the site and boat ownership

:winkingthumbsup" Very excited for you and the new boat....

But most of all, after 12+ years of Yamaha boat ownership, and almost 9 on the AR230, I can tell you that I am most excited about all the memories you are going to build with your kids.... That is the most important part of owning this boat for us.

All the conversations we have had, the time we have spent alone, the adventures we have shared...... It's all the stuff I wanted but didn't know even existed or get from my Dad, my son and I have shared.....

THAT is an extraordinarily profitable investment in a depreciating asset!:p

YOU will love that boat. It is the exact year and model I have and I honestly think that pound for pound it is the best year and model Yamaha has put out!

Welcome (late) and congratulations on the boat! You will have a blast.

Figured out how to drive it yet? :) It took me about 2 times out to start to feel comfortable with it. The comfort comes very quickly.

Enjoy and let us know if we can help in any way!

Thanks Tim. Been having a blast the past few weeks.

Everything is coming easier now with practice but still having issues pulling up to the dock. Have not got that part down and had a particularly rough day today pulling in today. I dont have any fins yet but have to believe they will help so I might be purchasing soon.

Otherwise, the boat is great!
