Just bimini proofing everything so i am putting lock washers and wing nuts on the batteries. Theory is i can fix or disconnect something on water that way. The amps i have on the other one with the theory that it would be easy enough to twist that off if needed.
Is having something running off both ok?20180526_161801.jpg

And that is house battery

That is perfectly fine. My one suggestion would be to think about what someone may decide to put in the compartment that could end up bridging the pos and neg terminals after bouncing around on the ocean for hours. I would find a way to cover the at least the positive.

That picture was while i was working on it but it is one of those battery boxes that straps down tight.
Very good point however! I would hate for someone to copy me and do that!
In fact, i have a new negative terminal block and even that has a cover for all the grounds on the boat.
