How damaging would it be to flush engine and clean boat 1-2 days after use vs immediately upon returning home from boating. Been a fanatic about flush and wash down immediately after use, but its getting physically harder and very old after boating all day. Wondering what are the differing opinions out there.

Salt or fresh?

My bad. Salt Water.

When you come back, give a generous amounts of fresh water everywhere. Flush it for one minute. Done. Relax.

If you choose to do it 1-2 days after use...might as well not do it at all. Seriously, not even joking. The salt has already dried. Sure, it will washout out 1-2 days later....but after wait 1-2 days to cleaning it over a period of several instances will take its toll.

Jets are a PIA in saltwater, thus is the reason I no longer own one.

I find jet boats to be rather easy in saltwater. You simply have to rinse them with freshwater. Fewer parts mean less mechanical issues in my experience. Take some time and rinse it with freshwater and relax.
