Engine Hatch Struts - F1T-U2896-20-00

When winterizing my boat I noticed my rear engine hatch struts are on the way out. Anyone replace them with something other then OEM?

@NotTooFast lots of people have replaced hatch lifts with aftermarket ones....not see to many post that their engine cover lifts were shot.....but I do recall a few buying them online. Yamaha almost certainly doesn't make these themselves...so measure and get the right weight and you'll be fine!

If you have the compressed length and the expanded length, it's just a matter of picking the force from the aftermarket units. I'm sorry I do not have a part number to share, but mine are looking pretty sorry too.
