Engines shutting down when hitting good size waves. Checked battery terminals, wiring and everything seems tight.

Check the safety switch inside clean out plug hatch.
Probably hatch not locked?

on the 24' boats there was frequently a problem with the clean out hatch switch. try putting pressure on that cover in different areas while boat is running. if it is your problem just adjust the switch height. or tape a Nickle on the hatch lid

Check the cleanout hatch for movement, you may need to adjust the kill switches.

Make sure the clean out ports deck hatch is locked down, otherwise the hatch bounces up and releases/engages the safety swith to shut down the engines.

I'm going to adjust the switch up more. There's plenty of thread left.
Make sure the hatch latches are locked/turned the correct way to hold the hatch closed.

Like others have said the switch adjustment, the latches, even check the hinges any flexing in the hatch area can cause problems.
