Hi everyone, I am traveling through Europe with my family, we are going to be in Barcelona next month and would like to rent a boat to travel the mediterranean, we have our eyes on a small yacht from navisyo.com
We are a family of 5, we plant to visit Nice France, Greece and then go back to Barcelona. Probably 2 weeks travel and sleeping on the boat too. The boat we have our eyes on is Loading listing…
Any help on boat rentals in Europe would be appreciated

Thank you all

Update: After a couple of weeks of looking at it, we just pulled the trigger, we have her for 21 days, and will be navigating through the coasts of Spain, France and Croatia in 2 weeks from now.
Thank you all for the help

That seems like a lot of distance to travel by boat in 2 weeks! Would be an amazing trip though!

Spain is a bit of a pain for boat rentals. Rules change by province and some sort of a license appears to be required for an uncrewed rental. A resident ID was required to get a license.

I looked into it for a while but couldn't make sense of it.... rented a motorcycle instead and toured spain and Portugal for 10 days.

Enjoy the Cruz Campo and Mahou (I miss the $0.75 beer after work....)

Maybe you'll have better luck.

So you are planning to rent a sailboat? Do you know how to sail? Do you have the credentials, experience documented on paper? Many charter companies require proof of ASA course 104 as a minimum.

The link above is for Day Sails up to 8 hours with a captain on board. I don’t think you can sail that company to Greese or overnight for that matter.

This is SunSail's policy, dependant on Country.

The post above is more like an advertisement for that company than an inquiry. I call BS.

@swatski Funny edit! I was all in until I read the link. It became clear that it was an ad. as I was posting the SunSail info above. Althougth it is kind of a bait and switch approach...talking about sailing the Med. from Spain to Greece and then post a link for day sails.

Well, it seems that everyone here is a critic, we are looking for information only, I will be spending a month traveling, I think that is plenty of time to go from Barcelona to Athens, from there we will flight back to the US, I forgot to mention, we want to leave the boat there, so no bringing it back to Barcelona.
And yes, lulolulito is a joke of a nick name, only a true latino could understand it LOL

No, not everyone. Are you looking for a ride or do you want to charter a sailing yacht? The daysails in the link are only for a few hours. If you know how to sail and have the proper paperwork to show, contact someone like Sunsail.

I/We are just trying to figure out how much boating experience you have as your boat description on your signature does not show much.

We have a 65' Marquis 2005 (that's what my husband told me) he is the experienced one with license and all, me and my kids just go for the ride.

We were looking for something confortable to travel the mediterranean for a month, not to buy a second boat, we can handle the paperwork, and everything else that will come with a boat charter.

Nice, similar size to my slip neighbor, a 68' Predator. The link in your original post was a sailboat day sail, packages up to eight hours, with a captain at the helm. Nothing overnight. I did not check other listings on that navisyo site. Thought is was an ad. A couple that I know of are Homepage US - New or Mediterranean Yacht Charters
