Exhaust Tempature warning light

My port side exhaust temp light came on and I took it out of the water and looked it over for debris, found nothing. I flushed the system and it seem to be flowing out of the three main areas as always. I reset my computer the best I could tell nothing really happened any different when I did it. Also when I pushed the buttons together it went to ski mode but I still held them both for 6 seconds. Is that the correct way? Is there anything that comes up on the display to know that it took? Still having the same message appear.

Any other suggestions? Traveled 4 hours to the lake and now the boat is acting up.

This happened to my friend this weekend who has a Scarab 195 a dock accross from my Scarab. We let it cool down and added some coolant, some 50/50 premixed stuff and ran the engine for a minute. Seems to have cleared up the issue for now. On my Scarab the coolant always looks low, but I believe this is because there is a bunch in the lines.
