I am not sure if it is possible, but I do not think you could find one in the country.... I have been waiting for one for over 6 weeks on my 2019 AR240... Part is on National Backorder... Only God knows when they will be available....

Anyone been able to figure this out? Would be nice if possible.

The screens are loaded with customized software for the specific model and I don't think Yamaha will release one designed for the 210. If you could get one for a 212 it might work fine or it might not like the ECU's and refuse to work - the design is proprietary to Yamaha specs. Note that a 7" screen from a 212x model might work in my boat, but a screen from my boat in a 212x would not have ballast fill features and options that the x model comes with as stock.

If it were pure NMEA2k then any MFD like a Simrad or Raymarine or Garmin would work, but Yamaha has made it unique.

Me too.

Just was thinking in the same size boat - like AR250 put in the screen from the 255se? Would that work assuming you could find one... maybe next year?

Are they different part numbers? Normally a manufacturer would make one part number and then would just have the software recognize which boat it was attached to in order to make the right options pop up. Much cheaper to have programming change its own function than to manufacture two different boxes with different programming (and keep track of 2 stock parts, etc.). I would be surprised if the programming changed within the same model year boat...

No direct info on this one, so a legit question. I just know how things are normally programmed...

It might be they recognize the ECU codes and display based on that, or they simply flash them with the appropriate firmware for the model...don't know really. Just trying to warn the OP that Yamaha doesn't seem to want to make it quick and easy to swap interface components.
:(

Certainly pays to be careful and do your research on it. It ain't a cheap part, that is for certain...
