I believe the factory reset defaults all settings, erases saved wake speeds, MPG ratings, perhaps radio memories, etc. It doesn't reset the engine hours or similar lifetime numbers. It could fix a technical glitch, and it would be like when you picked up the boat new (except break-in) so any settings you created or adjusted, would be lost. Every done a factory reset on a phone? Basically the same thing.
