Binnacles to set you own desired RPM regardless of Yamaha wishes Cleaned up and tinkered with, these will let you set your RPMwith much more control as the travel is much greater in the full RPM range vs the Yamaha binnacle where 8000 rpms fit in 35 degree of travel. The levers are longer from the pivot point with this design, so the control is finer too.

I made the switch 2 years ago and it's my highest rated upgrade to the boat. They cost quite a bit new, but over the winter some re-power mechanics post the binnacles they are pulling from boats for some cheap options.

@Bill D has those in his boat and it was pretty cool to drive. Felt really good and look great too. The best thing about these isn't even the smooth feel but rather you have INDEPENDENT throttle AND reverse bucket control. You can do some pretty cool stuff and even help clean up a wave or dial in a speed.
