Picked up today. Made the trip from Memphis to Decatur, Al. today. Was dark when I got back, so I will post better picks tomorrow. Thanks for all of the advice and I'm sure more questions are coming! I made the trip with bimini on as the dealer said it was fine with the larger top. I traveled between 60-65mph with no issues. Is that accurate or should I remove when trailering to the lake?IMG_6855.jpegIMG_6869.jpeg

Nice looking boat! Glad to hear you can go that fast with the Bimini top on. I think the book says 45 but the boat will go faster than that. Looks like yours is fine at 65.

I too have towed mine at 60+ mph and the bimini secured to the tower . No issues. Some have reported it may be more of a handling issue with the tow vehicle than boat/bimini risk ? That big umbrella creates tremendous drag and members report much improved mpg fuel economy when towing with it removed.

Very nice, good luck, I know you will enjoy her. On the bimini while towing at speed, I have recently started taking mine down. It wasn't the possible damage to the canvas, handling, etc that made me change my mind. Someone posted on here that these towers are over 10 k I think ? And mentioned that they have a crack in the tower near a weld. It was then mentioned that the dealer will ask if you tow with the canvas up. I got sick thinking about breaking my tower. Short trips to the lake, 20 mins or so, I will leave it up, but hwy speeds for an hour, its coming down.

Dealer didn't show me how to remove it. Guess I can get out there and experiment. Closest dealer to me is 1.5 hours. I'm afraid I will get it off and no idea how to get it back on.

The owner's manual explains the bimini install and removal. I don't recall that it collapses like other models? Congrats on the new boat!
