Yesterday we finally got a rope. Big question. We can't get the impeller off to get access to it. We can get everything else apart. But no luck on the impeller. 2013 195 hoi

the impeller and the pump assembly come off together.

If you remove the spark plugs you may be able to spin the shaft backwards to remove the rope.

But I thought that BRP boats had a sleeve that prevented this issue?

It has to be cut out. It rapped up where the sleeve ends a small section about an inch or two betweeen the sleeve and impeller.

Did you take the cone off and pull the shaft??? Look on YouTube for 4-tec pump removal, it will be close. Remove the steering and reverse cable, 4 nuts against the back hull, the entire assembly will come off. The impeller stays in the pump and slides on the driveshaft. You can remove the reverse bucket, and nozzle first if needed. Be sure to use lock tight when you reassemble.

Does BRP recommend thread locker? Yamaha recommends thread sealant to protect and somewhat lock the threads

I've taken everything off and the impeller won't slide off the shaft.

I've pull all I've got into it. It won't slide off the shaft. I'm assuming there's some rope binding it onto the shaft.

It happens to my old 2008 challenger 430 wake. I cut as much as I cools off the rope all the way inside then I'd start the engine to get rope moving then cut some more off. It was a pain! Yamaha easy access is worth their weight in gold!

Good thought. I'll try again tomorrow to get it off.
