Finally got my new 212x home and I am so excited (even though its just sitting in my driveway) now just need the weather to (officially) transition to boat friendly temps.

Couple of questions (asking here because its Sunday and the dealer is closed)

1. My Connext shows a Sirius XM selection, however does anyone know if the boat comes with a receiver or is it aftermarket? When I select Sirius XM it just reverts back to normal radio.

2. Where is everyone mounting their (remote) bass level knob? (Still in honeymoon stage and don't want to drill any holes into the boat)

3. I noticed with Yamaha boats, the rear side/hull and how they sit in the water is not really compatible with the suction type wake shapers out there, as there is really not a "flat" surface that sits deep enough in the water.... is the Gantlin wedge the only compatible wake shaper for the Yamaha jet boat?

Yes it is a Chatlee boat lol. I own a house on the main lake in Carolina Lakes where it will be slipped and where I will be doing most of my daily boating. However definitely have plans for sure to boat Falls, Jordan, and Norman this season!

another question for the NC contingent... Where can I get a quick turn on some vinyl lettering for my registration display?

The weekend after mothers day we are doing a run in charleston sc on the Cooper river... a bunch of boats get together each year and run the Cooper river and spend the night in charleston. U should look into it..

Those who have tested the delayed convergence type wake shapers have reported that they do not work on the Yamaha jetboats. I know from experience that the Wake Wedge will improve the shape of your wave. We are looking forward to your family pictures.

Thanks BB... will post pics as I have them. I am curious to know if the Wake Wedge is compatible with my 2017 212x? from the install pics it looks like it with minor drilling into the ladder mount. awaiting an answer from @jcyamaharider to confirm so I can get in on the group buy.

@Blenderhead, take a few minutes to search the forum for common leaks and fix them before you drop your new boat in the water. An easy one to check is the anchor locker drain.

Just those posted from last years review. It is about the same as my 2008. Perhaps a bit better. I want to with hold final judgement until we have a boat full of people and a Wake Wedge to give a true comparison perspective.

1. Sirius requires an addon receiver (pretty sure)
2. I mounted my bass remote above the dodad holder at the helm (I'll find a photo for you)
3. Weke wedge is the only proven wake shaper I know of.
