First Jet Boat

Awesome! Congrats on your new boat and welcome to the Forum.

Welcome aboard! You picked a great boat. Many great times ahead!

Congrats and Welcome Aboard!

Congrats on the new boat @Knot Practical glad you found us and decided to join.

I'm a lifetime boater and my wife and I just bought our first jet boat. It's a 2015 Yamaha ar240 and it is dream to operate. Found this forum and what a lot of useful information and some great stories!
Nice Boat! Upgraded the top?

Yes, I had a bow and cockpit cover made. It snaps around edges and poles to support center.

Congrats and welcome! Can you post some photos of the cover you had made? Does it cover the seats in on the swim platform?

Welcome, Great looking boat - love the tinted windows with the black hull. It's been on my list for a while now, I'm just too lazy - er, busy to get that done. :p

Great looking boat! Welcome to the group.

Sorry windows are not tinted. Photos of swim platform covered. I live back off the beaten path and wanted a cover to dust out when traveling and help keep it clean when its in the garage. The reasoning for bow cover is for when we go to Lake Erie I'll keep it on while traveling open water in case it gets rough.

Welcome to the forum.... nice boat
we are in Lake Erie ... east end near Buffalo... way rough today and still cold.

Welcome...you'll be drilling, adding, modding before you know it :)

Congrats on the purchase. Great looking boat!

Welcome aboard! Planning on any river cruises? I see your not too far from the Ohio.

I haven't planned one yet but I would like to take a day trip on the river. My wife has family in Marietta so I might head that way or run down the Muskingum river thru the locks

I would be careful utilizing the locks. They are full of debris (worse then ever with the amount of rain) and you will suck up all kinds of shit. I did the locks one year and it was a challenge. You can't avoid the garbage and with a single, it's worse. Marietta is a great place to boat though, I wish it was closer to me.
