After breaking in the sx240 and spending some time on Lake Superior we decided to make a trip down the Missippi. I am not a great writer so I will just state some trip facts:

Left from Afton, MN destination LaCrosse, WI.
Miles one way 122.9
Fuel usage 2.3 MPG
Took about 10 hours on the way down

Return trip LacRosse, WI to Afton, MN
Miles 127.0 (took a little side trip on the way back)
Fuel usage 2.1 (upstream)
Took about 9.5 hours on the return trip.

Rained most of the day on the way down.
Stayed the night in LaCrosse.
Went through 6 locks each way.
250 miles
Tons of fun.

Observations

Very comfortable ride for 5 adults and three teenagers ( we left the kids halfway down on the first trip)
Plenty of gas stops along the way and places to eat.
The boat is super easy to dock and lock although a bit trickier in current as any boat would be.
It is a lot noisier than I would like so I will be working on that next.
I wish fuel consumption was better but it is not terrible.

Can't wait for the next time out!

Lol now you are overdue for an oil change! Dont forget that. 10-20 hrs is usually where its done.

Yeah. I forgot to mention . We had to do an oil change on the way down. Luckily there was a dealer on the way. We stopped in for oil and filters . Won't do that again $24 for one filter. Didn't matter to much we were havin' good time .

My dealer here wants $789.00 for the first 10 hr oil change and service!! Yea.. lol... I laughed at him and will be doing that myself.
